About Wes Having a background in computer science and systems design and development it was an easy transition to tools builder. Over the course of his career he has built several custom management solutions for former employers, large and small. Wes also speaks locally and nationally about database issues including administration. He started to see the patterns in administration and also some of the same excuses. Database administration is not an art, engineers build the hardware and the software there is no magic pixie dust involved. It isn’t rocket science either, but at a large scale it can be daunting. It became clear that the same tasks needed to be done over and over, and on a large scale. Leveraging this knowledge, Planetary CORE™ was born.
